2003 Infiniti G35 Disc Pads Removal and Installation

2003 Infiniti G35

FRONT & REAR DISC PADS

Removal & Installation (CLZ25VD & AD14VE Type)

1. Remove master cylinder reservoir cap. DO NOT let brake fluid reservoir overflow when pushing piston back. Remove lower sliding pin bolt (front caliper) or top sliding pin bolt (rear caliper). Pivot caliper off on remaining sliding bolt and hang caliper with wire. Remove pad retainers, shims and pads. See Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 . Push piston in using a disc brake piston tool.

2. To install, apply brake grease to back of pad and both sides of shim. Install inner shim to inner pad, and outer shim and outer shim cover to outer pad. Apply disc brake grease to pad contact surface on pad retainer, and install pad retainers and pads to torque member.

3. Install caliper assembly to torque member. Install sliding pin bolt, and tighten it to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check for brake drag. Perform road test to ensure proper brake operation. See BRAKE BURNISHING .

Removal & Installation (OPB27VA & OPB13VB Type)

1. Remove master cylinder reservoir cap. DO NOT let brake fluid reservoir overflow when pushing piston back. Remove clips from pad pins. Remove pad pins while holding down cross spring. Remove cross spring. With pliers, remove pads. See Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 .

2. To install, apply brake grease to back of pads. Push piston in using a disc brake piston tool. Install pads (with wear sensor to outer side). Insert upper pad pin from inner cylinder side through pad hole and into outer cylinder side. Install cross spring onto top pad pin. ... Download File PDF
