Ford released their first truck in 1908, and, needless to say, their trucks have gone through many design iterations since those early days. The F series of trucks were first introduced in the 1940's, and by 1964 the Ford truck lineup included the F100, F250, F350 and Econoline pickup trucks. The radios of these old trucks may need to be replaced, especially if you're restoring a classic, but finding old parts can be difficult. There are may resources available to find original, restored, or replica parts that will work in these trucks.
This process does not require tools.
Find a Radio
Use auction sites like ebay.com to see if the part you are looking for is already listed. Auction sites may provide you the best price you can find on these radios. However, purchase with care and try to purchase parts from trusted sellers.
Locate resources that specialize in older truck parts. LMC truck keeps catalogs that provide reproductions that look just like the originals and may offer additional options like CD or cassette players that were not offered on the original models. Other websites like C&G specialize in selling old Ford parts. C&G maintains a catalog of parts they currently stock and may be able to help locate a radio if they do not currently have any in stock.
List your radio request on websites like automotix.com. These sites let you list your part request and can match you with potential sellers that currently have the part stocked.
Use websites like ford-trucks.com to locate parts. This truck enthusiast site is dedicated to Ford truck experts and fans. The forum users are very involved and can help you locate parts, install them when they come, and even provide troubleshooting tips.
